Urban Country and Contemporary Line Dancing

Welcome to the Boots & Buckles Line Dance Club where fitness, fun and fellowship come together in a mix of urban country and contemporary line dancing.

Did you know that line dancing provides both physical and mental exercise? Not only is it a safe way to raise your heart rate to build stamina, but studies have shown that it can help reduce the effects of dementia and similar mental conditions.

If you have never line danced, you owe it to yourself to give it a try. Line dancing is for everyone— it's ageless, it doesn't require a partner, it's easy to learn, and it's fun for the entire family. All you need is a comfortable pair of shoes, a willing attitude and a smile. Come, join us and dance for the health of it!

Cost: $5 from 5:00 - 7:30 pm or $4 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Instructor, Jeanette Bowen

Jeanette Bowen, Line Dance Instructor
Jeanette has been teaching line dancing for 5 years. As a nationally accredited Line Dance Instructor with the Country Western National Teacher's Association, Jeanette's teaching style is easy to follow and her cueing will never leave you wondering what the next dance step is.

With a passion for fitness, Jeanette is a certified IFTA Personal Trainer and a certified IFTA Group Fitness Instructor. She has taught various weight management classes through the YMCA and she shared that knowledge as a Weight Watchers Leader for a number of years as well.

Line dancing is one way Jeanette reaches out to the Chattanooga community to promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle. When you attend one of her classes you will find yourself in a welcoming, high-energy, fun-filled environment where getting some exercise is just one of the many benefits that you will enjoy.

Jeanette believes in giving back to the community and she does so by sharing her enthusiasm and love of line dancing throughout Chattanooga and the surrounding area. It's not unusual to find her helping out with a food drive for the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, fundraising for the Cancer Society, taking her dance club to an assisted-living facility to perform for the residents, or leading an audience-participated dance break at a professional conference for St. Jude Catholic Church.

One of Jeanette's most recent community projects was creating a Boots and Buckles Relay For Life Team which helps raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society. This year, the Boots and Buckles Line Dance Club has raised over $4,600 for the American Cancer Society.
